Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
What a joy and privilege it is to introduce to you our church! We are grateful for the chance to show you our deep passion to provide a place where people can come together for life-changing experiences and to encounter God.
Life is an adventure with many blessings, opportunities, and challenges, and God never intended for us to take this journey alone. His plan for us is to live in relationship with Him and one another. At Faith Lutheran Church, our doors are wide open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey.
We don’t expect anyone who walks through those doors to be fully mature in their relationship with the Lord. On the contrary, we all need God (and one another) to move forward in our faith journeys and fulfill our God-given destinies. Our desire and prayer at FLC is that all can experience and grow in their relationship with the Lord and one another. As the Apostle Paul wrote:
“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:14-19).
Whether you are a spiritual seeker just starting to ask questions about God or a committed follower of Jesus Christ who wants to use your gifts in service and ministry, you will find a welcoming home here at Faith Lutheran Church.
We invite you to come and consider sharing life’s journey with us. We believe in and desire an adventure of friendship with God and one another. Come as you are and join us to seek and call on the name of the Lord!
Again, thank you for visiting, and please contact us if we may further assist you. We look forward to see you!
May God richly bless and enrich your life!
Ebassa Berhanu, Pastor
We know visiting a new church can be intimidating.
What should I wear? Where do my kids go? We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel right at home when you visit.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code for attending services at Faith Lutheran Church. Some attenders dress casually and some dress up—it’s all good! You are free to come exactly as you are, so wear whatever you are most comfortable in.
What happens when I arrive?
When you arrive at a Faith Lutheran Church service, you will enter in through the double doors that leads to the main lobby. You’ll be greeted by a friendly smile from one of our greeters. There will be some refreshments for you to enjoy on us in our fellowship hall.
What is service like?
We start our services with a time of call and worship and/or confession, singing of hymn (Sunday morning), praise and worship (Saturday night). Immediately following, we will hear the reading of God’s word, followed by the weekend message. After the message, we confess our Christian Faith together by reciting the Apostle’s Creed and go into a time of corporate prayer. After prayer, we share God’s peace with one another. We’ll then continue our worship through an offering. After offering, we partake in a weekly communion. After communion, we will share a few announcements about what’s happening at our church. Most weekends, our Lead Pastor, Ebassa Berhanu will preach. Our services typically run 75 minutes.
What about my kids?
We encourage families to sit with their children during worship. Our Sunday School classes are offered between Sunday services during the school year (children up to 6th grade). The classes rotate through “centers” of drama, movie, computers, games and art, focusing on the same Bible story or theme for several weeks.
How can I meet others and get connected?
The best way to get connected is through our community groups that meet weekly.
Well, the live Sunday service is something you need to experience to fully understand, so come check us out and see how God is moving throughout our community.
